Park City, UT, USA

The Sundance Ascent.

Can we talk about how beautiful the world is?  This is seriously one of my favorite drives.  In the world. WORLD.  This world, my goodness!  I'm in a weird mood.  I have been for the last couple days.  It's a good weird.  But all the same, weird.  I've become one of those people who like to shout about how beautiful this planet is.  But seriously.  Look at it, and how can you not be in love.

This was my third year attending Sundance, the film festival that occurs annually at the end of January in Park City, UT.  I fly into Salt Lake City and then it's about a fifty minute drive to Park City.  And it's honestly one of the most breathtaking rides.  The mountains surrounding you.  It's unreal.  The feeling it puts in my stomach.  I don't think I'll be attending the festival again for quite some time, but that drive—I'm gonna miss that drive something fierce.  It was always such a great way to begin my little sabbatical away from real life, kicking off a couple days of surreal euphoria.

Also, every year I've made some videos at the festival, moving visuals included.

  1. these pictures are so beautiful! road-trips and lovely scenery are some of the best things in life.

  2. As much as I hated HATED living in both southern and northern Utah last year, I have to agree with you that it is one of the prettiest places in the US.
Have to been to the Zion area? That was one of the places I lived, you would love it there!

  3. The world and these pictures are really lovely. I would love to go to Sundance one day.
