So I'm in love with a little thing called Instagram. And it is undoubtedly one of the contributing factors to the neglect the poor marionhoney blog has experienced as of late. So let's resuscitate some content here with a little some'in'-some'in', yeah? I present to you Fourth Meal--a recurring roundup of things I've been eating in London. Where should you go and what should you get? This.
Clockwise from top left
1// EGGS FLORENTINE with a side lamb's lettuce salad lightly laced with honey mustard dressing. I'm at The Breakfast Club far too much. My Instagram feed is a testament to that statement. It's a London staple for me and it will be for you too. If you want breakfast, get there before 5PM! £8.40
2// TOASTED CHEESE SANDWICH. You will shell out the £5 for this luxury grilled cheese and you will love yourself. Brought to you by the good folks at Kappacasein Dairy. You will stand in the queue that wraps around its Borough Market stall (it moves quick). And you will be surprised that you like leeks. Thursdays-Saturdays, okay? £5.
3// POTATO ROSTI with a fried egg, cherry tomatoes, and shreded basil. Right, so you can't buy this. Soz. Because I know it looks tempting. But if you go on enough okcupid dates you might find a boy who likes to cook and is damn good at it. Inspired by this Gordon Ramsay dish. CAN'T BUY ME LOVE. Or maybe you can. With food.
4// D.O.C. PIZZE -- that's Italian for really frickin' nice pizza. The breadlike dough. The sweetest tomatoes. Princi is a place I'd walked past countless times whilst bumbling around Soho. Their glass exterior invites you to look onto everyone's magnificent meals. Avoid the Crodino drink though. Sanne got it and baaaaad aftertaste. £12.50
Fourth meal. Even if you've already had your daily three, these pictures might make you consider just one more. Got any places I need to hit up? (Yes yes, okay okay, I know, the gym.)
